Bocobay does not charge any fees for service animals or emotional support animals (ESA), but we do ask that you notify us ([email protected]) if you are planning to bring one along. It is Bocobay’s policy to comply with generally accepted rulings (specifically the ADA) regarding service animals. Please be aware that Emotional Support Animals are not covered by the ADA and therefore each state may have different rules for accommodating ESAs. Some of our properties are unable to accommodate ESAs for reservations shorter 30 days due to homeowner restrictions.

While Bocobay will not ask for documentation for your service animal or ESA, we operate within some housing associations and communities that will ask for it. We will do our best to let you know in advance, but we recommend that anyone traveling with a service animal or ESA be prepared to show their animal’s documentation if asked.

Bocobay may request the removal of your service animal or ESA if the animal is out of control, destructive, unhousebroken, or bothering neighbors and if the guest is unable to effectively take action to control the animal. In this situation, Bocobay will provide the guest the opportunity to stay at the property without the service animal or ESA if he/she so chooses. Service animals and ESAs should also not be left alone at any property since their role is to provide service or emotional support to the guest. In the event that your service animal or ESA causes damage to one of our properties, Bocobay reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for any property damage or extra cleaning required.
